Dean Brett started practicing law in 1972 after graduating
from Stanford Law School. He has represented clients in
numerous multimillion dollar toxic torts, personal injury
claims, and commercial disputes. Dean Brett has also served
as President of the Whatcom County Bar Association and as a
Member of the Board of Directors of the Washington State
Trial Lawyers Association. Over the years, our firm has
received numerous awards and recognition, including the

over one million lawyers and law firms in 160 countries. Out
of 20,000 lawyers licensed to practice in Washington (and
more than 300 in Whatcom County), Dean Brett has

Washington Law and Politics Magazine. Bill Coats graduated
from Tulane Law School in 1994. After trying many cases as
an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington
and as a Whatcom County Public Defender, he started his own
firm and then joined Dean Brett in 2004. Bill Coats
specializes in serious personal injury and wrongful death
cases. Rand Jack graduated from Princeton University in 1963
and Yale Law School in 1968. Rand Jack has 35 years
experience in litigation and personal injury claims.
